{Sugar Bee} Emmy's Sweet One

This weekend Emmy is celebrating her "Sweet One" and I am so thrilled that I got to help make her day a little bit sweeter with an adorable watermelon cookie set!

When Emmy's mom contacted me to make cookies for her watermelon themed party, I was so excited because I have been wanting to create cookies for this birthday theme for ages now! So it was quick to the sketch pad to design cookies that would be perfect for Emmy's very special day.

Emmy's mom definitely knew she wanted to include a watermelon Popsicle, so that was a must in the collection. This may be my favorite cookie of the entire set!

Next I wanted to include a watermelon slice, but I thought it would be fun if they had a little bite out of it.

My third design was a number one, because I love to include the age of the child and personalize it with their name to make it extra special. I incorporated the watermelons into the pattern, as well as added a pearlized green stripe that is reminiscent of a watermelon rind.

My final design was to incorporate the party slogan, "Sweet One". I used the pearlized green stripe pattern for unity and to help contrast with the shades of pink. To bring everything together, I added a sweet rosette and leaf to all of the cookies for an extra touch of pretty.

I love how this set turned out and I hope Emmy and her mom love them even more!

Happy first birthday Sweet One! I hope Emmy's momentous day is filled with so much love, joy, and watermelon, surrounded by her adoring family!

{Sugar Bee} Batter up! Henry is turning ONE!

Batter up! Henry is hitting the big the ONE and his special day will surely be lots of fun!

Time has certainly flown by! It wasn't long ago that Henry's mom was planning for his baby shower, now she is planning his first birthday and I was very happy to be able to assist with creating some treats to make this milestone extra sweet!

Henry is having a baseball themed first birthday and his mama entrusted me to design some cookies that would compliment his birthday cake and overall theme. When I was sketching I wanted the set to include the essential baseball equipment. So I decided up a baseball bat, baseball, and jersey, but I wanted to personalize them so that they featured the birthday boy's name and age!
I hope the birthday boy and his family love the cookies as much as I loved making them, and though his celebration will be a very small and intimate gathering, I am sure Henry's biggest fans will be showering him with so much love and joy for this momentous occasion in Henry's life!

Back to School Sweet Treats!

I can't believe that school is set to begin next week! Where has the time gone?! With the students starting school online, they may not be feeling the same back to school butterflies or excitement as previous years. So this year I thought it was extra important that I try and help my fellow parents make their kids first day back a little more special and a whole lot sweeter!

I was so thrilled to create my first set of mini cookies! These circus animal cookies are just so cute and will make any student or teacher "wild" about school and excited for their first day back!

I also wanted to create traditional sets of back to school cookies for my customers! So this year I made backpack cookies in four different colors and patterns, a notebook paper cookie, and of course, an apple!

These sets will make such fun treats to celebrate the start of the year and will certainly put a smile on your child's face!

Wishing your kiddos a sweet school year and a wonderful 1st day back!

{Sugar Bee} Pop'n with Pride Patriotic Sugar Cookies

The 4th of July is this Saturday and there isn't a better way to celebrate than with a BBQ, by the pool, with sparklers, and these fun and festive patriotic treats that will leave you pop'n with pride!

It is always difficult to narrow down my designs for the 4th of July because there are just so many cute cookies that can be made! So this year I chose some of my favorite cutters and by using a color palette of red, white, royal blue, and light blue, I turned them into cute designs that were the perfect fit for Independence Day!

The first two cookies I designed were more traditional to the 4th...Uncle Sam's hat and the United States Map. But instead of just a plain map, I wanted to adorn it with some pretty flowers for an elegant touch.

The third cookie I chose to create was of course the star! But this year I wanted to create a white star with some cute and colorful sprinkles. Sprinkles always add to the fun of a cookie!

The last two cookies I wanted to make were more whimsical and made me think of a summertime BBQ by the pool. Using my red, white, and blue color palette, I created an adorable pair of sunglasses and super cute snow cones!

These cookies will leave my customers seeing stars and stripes and hopefully add to the merriment of their 4th of July celebration!

{Sugar Bee} Father's Day Cheeseburger and Fries for the Kings of the Grill

It is Father's Day and I wanted to make something extra special for the two amazing father's in my life...my husband and my dad!

Over the last several years I have seen the cutest hamburger cupcakes and cookie fries online and I knew I had to one day make some, but I could never fit them into my busy schedule. But this year, it was like it was meant to happen, I just happened to have everything at my fingertips and so I finally made them!

These are the perfect treats for my husband and my dad because they are both kings of the grill and make the most flippin' delicious meals! So while I am not one to grill (or cook) anything, I sure am going to bake something fun and festive to make their day super sweet!

These cheeseburgers are the perfect combination of sugary goodness! They are comprised of a vanilla cupcake "bun" with a chocolate and buttercream "hamburger patty", topped with royal icing "cheese", and buttercream lettuce and ketchup.

The french fries are made of sugar cookies, sprinkled with a little cinnamon and sugar, with royal icing "ketchup" in a condiment container for a perfect dipping sauce!

Dads like these two are rare and hopefully they find their Father's Day desserts well done!
Happy Father's Day to these two flippin' awesome grill masters!

{Sugar Bee} Father's Day Cookie Sets

Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 21st, and there are quite a few special dads that will be honored and recognized for all that they do for their children and family. I am sure there are a million reasons why  they are the very best, therefore this year I offered my customers the sweetest way to tell those awesome dads how much they are loved and appreciated!

Whether it is new dads, old dads, granddads, dads-in-law, stepdads, serious dads, goofball dads…There must be a million fatherly types out there, I have created a few different cookie designs that will be the right fit for whatever type of dad you want to recognize! I also think that this is a great gift by itself or can be extra special by pairing it with a gift card or a six pack of his favorite beer!

My first set of designs were for the golf dad. I created a golf bag with golf clubs and paired it with a golf ball on a tee with a #1. This is to let that special guy know he is "#1 by Par"!

My second cookie was for the handy father who has "all the right tools that make the best dad"!

My next set of cookie designs was one of my favorites because who doesn't love nachos and cacti?! This set was for the "nacho average dad who is always on point"!
Finally, my last set of cookies were made for the popcorn loving dad who is absolutely the "world's best pop"!
For all the amazing types of dads, I wish them a wonderful and blessed day, filled with love, laughter, and happiness, surrounded by their adoring family!

{Sugar Bee} Houston, we have a birthday! Jake is 10!

3...2…1…BLAST OFF! Our Jake is 10 years old today and though this year we will be celebrating a little differently then we have in the past, we are still planning on having fun and showering him with lots of love, laughter, and cookies!

This year I was given the theme of outer space, and boy did I shoot for the stars with this cookie set! My first thought was that I needed to create a little astronaut with his rocket ship....it is of course what I think of when I think of NASA. They really make the perfect pairing, but it wasn't complete without the moon and the stars. I kept the stars very simple, but I wanted the moon slightly more detailed with craters and texture to mimic the moon's surface. Last, I thought...what is all of this without the galaxy and planets?! So I took my number 10 cutter to highlight the birthday boy's age and created the look of space featuring a few planets. This set is one small step for me, but one giant leap for Jake's special day and I know he will love them!
Happy 10th birthday to my lovable boy! This year will be OUT OF THIS WORLD!
