It is hard to believe that my son will already be 6 months old in less than a week. It seems like time has flown by too quickly. Should I really have a son who is a half a year old? In 6 more months he will be one! Doesn't seem possible, but as hard as it is to believe, Jake is indeed half a year old and my baby is starting to grow up into a little boy. Thankfully, I still have a little more time before he will walk away from me and not want to be held or helped, but instead do everything on his own like a big boy. But when that day does come, and I know it is only a matter of time, I will have plenty of pictures to remember my little mr.!
Just recently, Kathy Lawson (a busy bee and very talented artist) from, K.L. Images, photographed Jake in her studio. Since Jake was extremely tired that day, she only had a limited amount of time with which to work. However, despite the challenge of working with a tired little boy, she was able to gather quite a few great shots.
She just sent me a sneak peak of the photographs and after seeing only three images, I know that the photo shoot went well and choosing a favorite will be difficult.

{Sugar Bee} Tooth Brush and Tooth Cookies
This past week I made an order of sugar cookies for a friend of mine who was holding a work event. She works for a dentist company and they throw a picnic for their clients every year. This year she asked for an order of cookies to put on a table to give away. I know what you are thinking, sugar cookies at a dental event? How ironic is that, right? But what better way to keep your clients happy and remind them to continue to brush their teeth twice a day than by giving them pretty and yummy treats to eat! So to coincide with the dental event and theme, I created tooth brush and tooth shaped sugar cookies. To keep the toothbrushes fun I used bright colored icing with a polka dot pattern. With the tooth shaped cookies, I decided to leave them a nice plain white because I didn't want anyone to view any details as decay or discoloration....probably wouldn't be as appetizing that way either.
From what I was told, the cookies were a hit! Now it is time to brush and floss!

{Busy Bee} Beyond the 9-5: Jake Michael!
Dary, a very busy bee, a friend of mine, a photographer and a fellow blogger of Beyond the 9-5, just recently photographed my son in his baptism outfit. Although the baptism was in October, I wanted to capture him in his adorable outfit before he outgrew it....and let me tell you, he is growing like a weed so I knew I didn't have a moment to spare! The result of this photoshoot was absolutely wonderful. She did a fantastic job and I am looking forward to seeing more!
