{Sugar Bee} Cookies for Santa & Friends

Christmas is only a few more days away and soon Santa will be making his long journey around the world delivering presents to all the good boys and girls! This year I have created a cookie collection that is perfect for Santa and his friends, and just what they need to help them on that journey!

Inspired by the different kinds cookies that we leave out for the big guy every year, I decided that it would be fun to create a cookie collection of sweet treats for St. Nick! "Cookies for Santa & Friends" is comprised of six different designs that will keep Santa and his reindeer fueled and happy on Christmas Eve!

My first set of designs were of course the star of the night, Santa himself, along with his traditional glass of milk. The second set of cookies I wanted to do was Kris Kringle's right hand reindeer, Rudolph, and the carrot we like to leave him on his big night guiding the sleigh. Lastly, I created two of the most common Christmas cookies that we like to make and leave out on Christmas Eve; chocolate chip cookies and gingerbread men! I just love how this set turned out!

This cute collection of sugar cookies will certainly land my customers on Santa’s nice list!

{Sugar Bee} Warm Winter Wishes Sugar Cookie Collection

Winter is here and baby, it sure is cold outside! So it is the perfect time to get all bundled up in our softest sweaters and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, along with a sweet treat by the fire. Because I just love that warm and cozy feeling, I was inspired to create a collection that is filled those rustic vibes and will surely give you all the feels this Christmas!

My Warm Winter Wishes Collection is comprised of six different designs that is packed with country style charm! Since I love buffalo plaid, I knew that would be the inspiration for the collection. So I created a buffalo plaid stocking and a plaque that says "Winter Wishes". This pattern really stands out nicely in the collection and I really can't get enough of that print!

Trees are such a big part of the holiday, so I wanted to include them in the collection, but with a more natural look. So my design is what the trees look like before they are decorated with lights and ornaments....with just a hint of snow.

Warm mittens is essential for the winter season, so I thought they needed to be included in this collection as well. I just love the texture of the sweater pattern!

I didn't think the collection would be complete without a reindeer silhouette so I decided to use a wood grain pattern to add to the rustic feel of the collection and it was a nice contrast to the white reindeer.

If you have been to the stores lately, I am sure you have seen many decorations that feature a vintage red truck hauling a pine tree in the back. Well, if that doesn't feel like a rustic country Christmas, I don't know what does! So I of course needed that design in the collection! I think it really really completed the set nicely and helped balanced out the green trees.
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I hope my customers keep warm this season by snuggling up next to the fire and enjoying a cookie or two with their loved ones!

Warm Winter Wishes to All!

{Sugar Bee} Sugar Cookies for a Sweet Wedding Day

This past Sunday was a very special day for a bride and groom and I was so honored to be able to make their day a little bit sweeter!

When I was approached by the bride-to-be about a year ago to create cookies for her December wedding, I was very excited to have the opportunity to take part in such a momentous day in a couple's life. I had so many ideas running through my head, it was definitely a difficult task narrowing it down to just a handful of designs. Ultimately, the bride an groom chose six designs that would compliment their celebration perfectly.
The bride had chosen succulents as a main theme in her decor and selected a pale pink as her color. So with that information, I was able to incorporate succulents and pink into my designs. A tiered cake is such a traditional element and symbol of a wedding that it seemed like a must. So I immediately knew I wanted to create a wedding cake with a subtle pearlized floral pattern and decorated with succulents and pink flowers.
The second design I chose was an ampersand that would have the words "Mr." and "Mrs." to represent the newly married couple. I hand painted the ampersand using gold luster to add a little shine to the set and to bring out the gold accents in the rest of the designs.
My next idea was to create something with more personalization, so I designed a hexagon cookie with a subtle chevron pearlized pattern and added the bride and groom's initials along with a small bouquet of flowers.
Because the main theme was succulents, I decided that it was only fitting to create a terrarium. I really loved the way the different shades of green look together along with the different textures of the succulents. To add a little more personalization to this cookie, I added the couple's wedding date.
The last two cookie designs were specifically requested by the happy couple. They asked for heart cookies to look like a bride and a groom. For the bride, I created a subtle floral pattern on her dress and adorned her with a pearl necklace. The groom was dressed in a black tuxedo and I added a pretty pink boutonniere to coordinate with the other floral cookies in the set. I really love how these two cookies look within the set and how the black tux really makes the couple's initials pop.

I hope the happy couple had a wonderful day celebrating and I hope they love their cookies as mush as I loved making them! Here's to a long and happy marriage filled with a lifetime of love and happiness!

{Queen Bee} Elf on the Shelf Goodbye Letter

I know that the elves just returned from the North Pole and I am sure they are up to their usual fun shenanigans! If you are like me, you love the magic and joy these little guys bring to our children throughout the Christmas season, but at the same time are looking forward to the day when you don't have to remember to move them.  Thankfully, with my Elf Letter that I have created, we are allowed a little wiggle room when it comes to moving them! Phew!

As the days draw closer to Christmas Eve, I want my fellow parents to give their children and their elves a proper farewell, so I have created a very special letter. This letter should be placed with their elves the morning of Christmas Eve and will let your kiddos know that it is their last day with them. It is a very special goodbye that also gives your children one last gift....the ability to hold them for that day only without their elves losing their magic! This will give them a chance to hold and hug them before they return to the North Pole. The bittersweet moment of saying "so long" to their dearest scout elf will be made a little bit sweeter with this letter!

{Queen Bee} Elf on the Shelf Letter

We are only a few days into our elves returning and who here has already struggled with moving their elves in time before the kids wake up?! *raises hand* My gift to you, to help all of my fellow parents who need a little wiggle room when it comes to moving their elves, I have created a letter from your kiddos' elves. This letter will let them know that they may not move at night when they are supposed to, but instead when they are out of sight! This may not work as well for the younger kids, but will be perfect for your older school aged children. More importantly, this is a way to lessen the stress for moms and dads everywhere trying to keep up with their elf!

Merry Christmas!
