{Sugar Bee} Cherry Vanilla Cupcake

My daughter just completed her final year of preschool and I volunteered to bring cupcakes to the class celebration. I wasn't sure what kind of cupcakes I wanted to make, so to make it easier I asked Ava to see what she would like. When I asked her what kind of cupcakes she wanted me to make, she told me vanilla and cherry frosting. I should have known....Jake is my chocolate lover and Ava is always about vanilla. I had previously made a cherry chocolate cupcake that my son loved, so I thought let's do a version that Ava will equally enjoy. Thus, I created a vanilla cupcake with a cherry almond buttercream topped with a white chocolate covered cherry. My daughter was not disappointed....she especially loved the frosting and cherry, of course!

Thanks a latte to all of the wonderful teachers making a difference everyday in our children's lives. You do so much and it is important that you know how appreciated you are by your students and their parents. It takes a special person to teach and to shape the minds and lives of our little ones.  In honor of teacher appreciation week and to show my kids' teachers how wonderful we think they are, I have made them latte and donut sugar cookies. Cheers to all of you this week and every day of the year!

{Queen Bee} Free Teacher Appreciation Printable

Every year I love to create a special gift and printable for my kids' teachers. It is important that I teach my children to appreciate their teachers and what they do for them, as well as show them that I myself value the work, dedication, and heart that teachers show everyday.

Again, I couldn't help myself but go with a coffee themed printable tag....I can only image the amount of caffeine that teachers must consume in order to keep up with the energy of children is quite considerable! Of course these were created to go alongside the cookies that I will be giving each teacher. If my math is correct......coffee + cookies = happiness! Though these would also be lovely attached to a mug or a donut! Whatever you choose, you will put a smile on a teacher's face.

It is Easter and today is full of celebration, gathering with family and friends, and lots of treats! This year I wanted to make cookies that the kids would enjoy and find super lovable. So I created bunny head and carrot sugar cookies inspired by the incredible Sugarbelle! Now to decide what to eat first....the cookies, Peeps, or Jelly Beans?
