This year I was very excited to decorate my table with my newest printable collection, Pretty Petals Thanksgiving Collection. I just love all of the flowers and how these printables could be used in a variety of decor styles....rustic, shabby chic, elegant floral, farmhouse, or a combination. They also compliment the food and desserts so nicely!
My sunflower chocolate covered Oreos adorned my table which looked so lovely along side the floral pattern of the printables. Why use real flowers when you can use chocolate right?! Though who am I kidding...I love real flowers, the problem is for me is that I kill them almost immediately. So if you are like me and lack the ability to keep plants and flowers alive (even just long enough to decorate a table temporarily), then try chocolate flowers!
What is a table without water bottles? I always say, if you are on a budget but still want to add some extra personalized touches, well water bottles with coordinating labels is the perfect way to go! Inexpensive and so festive....and totally practical since everyone needs water to wash down the food and goodies! Tip: laminate your labels if you want to put them in a cooler with ice.
My cupcakes took center stage on my table this year. Delicious chocolate cupcakes frosted with a pumpkin spice buttercream and topped with a pumpkin chocolate covered Oreo...perfect for those who have a big sweet tooth! I love the look of the clean modern platter resting on top of the rustic sliced wood. Mixing styles and creating my own look is all part of the fun for me!
Signs are another way to add to the decor or simply include a message to your guests in a way that won't break the bank. These frames are so inexpensive and can be purchased at Ikea and look so cute placed on the table and throughout your home! Tip: If you aren't digging the white and want the frames to coordinate with your party decor simply spray paint them the color of your choice...silver and gold are perfect for the parties that rock the glam style of decor!
I have always loved the look of place cards at each place setting. Not only is it a great way to seat your guests, but a nice way to personalize the table and integrate your company into the decor. A menu isn't necessary for Thanksgiving dinner, especially because everyone knows what is traditionally served on this day, but it does add an elegant touch to your place setting. Tip: Use the backside of the menu to do a game with the family....perhaps write down what you are thankful for using every letter of the alphabet or see who can list the most Thanksgiving themed movies.
Mason jars are always a look that I love at a party. They are simple, inexpensive a totally cute! Here I just wrapped some jute twine around the top and added a circle tag. Your guests can even write their names on the back so they won't lose their drink!
As a little gift for everyone, I created a candy bar wrapper that lets all my guests know that I am thankful for them. Also this year, I wanted to create a little activity so I designed a card that allows everyone to write what they are thankful for this past year. This can be read aloud or just kept as a constant reminder to know how blessed we are and how we should be Thankful all year long.
Today is such a special day of the year, a day where we give thanks for what we have, our health, and the wonderful people who surround us, support us, and love us everyday. Give thanks today!
I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
