{Sugar Bee} Houston, we have a birthday! Jake is 10!

3...2…1…BLAST OFF! Our Jake is 10 years old today and though this year we will be celebrating a little differently then we have in the past, we are still planning on having fun and showering him with lots of love, laughter, and cookies!

This year I was given the theme of outer space, and boy did I shoot for the stars with this cookie set! My first thought was that I needed to create a little astronaut with his rocket ship....it is of course what I think of when I think of NASA. They really make the perfect pairing, but it wasn't complete without the moon and the stars. I kept the stars very simple, but I wanted the moon slightly more detailed with craters and texture to mimic the moon's surface. Last, I thought...what is all of this without the galaxy and planets?! So I took my number 10 cutter to highlight the birthday boy's age and created the look of space featuring a few planets. This set is one small step for me, but one giant leap for Jake's special day and I know he will love them!
Happy 10th birthday to my lovable boy! This year will be OUT OF THIS WORLD!

{Sugar Bee} Quarantine "Prescription Chill Pills"

With the weeks of being at home in quarantine and the challenges of navigating through this strange time, I thought it would be fun to make some cookies that would life someone’s spirits or just give them a little chuckle! I figured that my customers probably knew someone that could use a pick-me up or just needs a dose of happiness that only a sweet treat can bring. So I created a box of “prescription chill pills” to put a smile on their face and little something yummy in their tummy!

These boxes consisted of 4 sugar cookies that resemble gel capsule and aspirin pills and are packaged with a label that looks like a prescription. Though you will noticed that the logo and the wording is just for fun and has a bakers spin on it! The best part is that the label allows my customers to fill out the name of the "patient" (to whom the box is being gifted) and the name of the "prescriber" (the person gifting the box). Overall, I thought it was such a cute way to show someone that you care and is just what the doctor ordered!

{Sugar Bee} Prescription Cookies for U of A Pharmacy Graduates

Six students will be graduating from the University of Arizona from the College of Pharmacy today and I am so happy that I was able to make their special day a little sweeter!

These cookies were a lot of fun to make because not only was I able to create little sugar cookies to look like medicine, but I was also able to package them to appear as though they are prescriptions! To top if off, each set of cookies is personalized with the graduate's name! I thought they turned out so cute and I hope that they are thoroughly enjoyed and taken daily with a glass of milk!

Congratulations graduates on your well deserved success!

{Sugar Bee} Mother's Day Cookie Collection

This Sunday is Mother's Day and we all know that moms do so much all year long taking care of their kiddos and family, but this year it is especially true! Whether your mom is a Mama Bear or she has helped you bloom and grow; this is the perfect time to tell her how special she is and that you appreciate all that she does for her family! This year I have created a collection of cookies that are a wonderful way to show all the special mamas how amazing of a mother they! I love that these cookies are a great gift by itself or can be paired with a gift card or bouquet of flowers.

Wishing all of the mamas a very happy Mother's Day Weekend! You deserve it!

{Sugar Bee} Nurses Have Heart Cookie Collection

Nurses Day and Nurses Week provide us with the perfect opportunity to celebrate the nurses who care for us, our friends, families, and the overall community. They have an important job to do, especially this year, and it is important to show them our appreciation. In honor of Nurses Week, it is important to take a moment to show gratitude to those who take time to make sure we, and the people we love, are comfortable. They spend countless hours caring for us. Now, it’s our turn to show that we care for them! Their compassion, dedication, and kindness do not go unnoticed.

This year Nurse Appreciation means even more than in the past years. With this pandemic, our nurses and healthcare professionals are working around the clock, putting themselves at risk every day to help care for the sick. For this and more, our gratitude for their selflessness is beyond measure and saying thank you is the least we can do. That is why this year I created special cookies for my customers to show their love and appreciation.
Happy Nurses Week! We appreciate you all!

{Sugar Bee} Apple For Teacher Collection

I am sure there is a teacher that you remember who had an incredible impact in your life. It may have been in preschool, middle or high school, or even in college, but most of us have experienced that special teacher who made lessons come alive or started a lifetime of love for a certain subject. They may even been the reason for the job and career you have now!

For many of us, our children now have teachers that go the extra mile for them. They have inspired them or helped them through challenging times or lessons. They work alongside them to ensure their success, to create a love of learning, and ultimately make going to school every day fun and exciting!

This year has been a strange one with our children learning remotely from home, Teacher Appreciation Week won’t be celebrated the same way it has been in the past. However, if you are like me, challenged with trying to figure out homeschooling and keeping your kids focused and on task when all they want to do is play, then you are appreciating teachers MORE than ever before!

So this year, as they navigate these uncharted waters alongside us parents and work through all of the challenges of instructing remotely. I thought that it was especially important to let all the teachers know how important they are and how much we appreciate them!

Because of their hard work, kindness, and compassion for our kids, Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect time to show them our appreciation for all that they do. Dedicating their life to others, as teachers do, is a selfless act. Therefore, saying thank you and expressing our gratitude for the time and effort they put in every single day is a small gesture, but is it is the least we can do and they truly deserve it!

Therefore, I have created a collection of cookies for my customers to gift to the special teachers in their lives! I figured if we can’t give teacher appreciation gifts to our children’s teachers this year, why not gift A teacher we know with a sweet treat to let them know how valued and grateful we are for what they do for our kids!
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We thank you for all that you do!

{Sugar Bee} Hole in One Cookies for Sweet Cooper's 1st Birthday

A beautiful little girl is turning a year old and to help with the festivities I made some cookies to celebrate her "Hole in One" golf themed birthday!

Though sweet Cooper is unable to have a full-blown birthday bash at this time due to the pandemic that is currently affecting the world, she will still be celebrating her special day with a small PAR-TEE surrounded by her loving family! I am so honored that Cooper's mama asked me to make cookies for her big day and I had so much fun creating this set!

It was so difficult narrowing down the designs, but ultimately I came up with the perfect set for a baby girl's golf themed birthday party!

The color palette was chosen by Cooper's mama; she wanted to to have light pink and dark pink as her main colors since this celebration is for a sweet and sassy baby girl, but it also included green and white because they are traditional golf colors .
The first cookie I designed was a plaque cookie that is patterned with clouds and the word "ONE" is featured in the middle, but instead of an "O" I used a golf ball. Though blue wasn't a color that Cooper's mama was using in her decorations, I figured that it would help break up the colors and the blue sky is one of the amazing sights one gets to see while golfing!
When I think of golf, I usually think of golf clubs and argyle. So I thought to myself why not decorate an argyle patterned cookie with golf clubs....and that is exactly what I did! I LOVE how this cookie turned out!
I love making number cookies to emphasize the age of the birthday boy or girl. So I thought it was important that I create a Number One cookie for Cooper. This cookie is decorated with a golf pattern for the number and features the word one and accented with a pink flag.
As I was thinking of fun things associated with golf, I thought that golf carts are super fun! But for Cooper, I decided that I would make a cute pink golf cart cookie that would also allow me to personalize the cart with her name.
Cooper's mama wanted a cookie that would be a simple golf ball with the birthday girl's name, so of course I did that, but just a little bit more! I found a great cutter that not only had the golf ball, but also a tee on the green! Titleist has nothing on a Cooper golf ball!
The last design came about because I just love cake cookies, and this cutter is just so cute and perfect for a girl's birthday! This single tier cake on a cake stand is patterned with a golf ball pattern, adorned with sprinkles, and topped with a banner that says "Cooper". What is not to love?!
This entire set just gives me all the feels and I just can't get enough of it!

Happy 1st birthday Cooper! Enjoy this momentous milestone day, surrounded by your adoring family and may it be filled with sunshine, smiles, laughter, and love....and lots of sweet treats!
