{Sugar Bee} Enchanted Forest Sugar Cookies

This week has been a lot of fun as I have had the opportunity to create sugar cookies for a girl who is turning 15 and having an amazing quinceanera! Her mama contacted me months ago letting me know they are having a celebration for Bella who is turning 15 and the theme of the party is an enchanted forest. Well I was very excited to do these cookies because who doesn't love an enchanted forest theme?! It is the best of both worlds...both natural, rustic, and foresty; combined with beautiful, whimsical, enchanted elements! For this collection, I created pretty pink flowers, a bed of moss topped with flowers, a plaque with deer antlers decorated with flowers, a pink magical fairy, a wood grain plaque topped with the number "15" to look like moss and decorated with small flowers, and of course a wood grain heart with the birthday girl's name and surrounded with a bit of moss and a pink flower. I was so happy with the outcome! I hope Bella has the very best day...Happy 15th Birthday!

{Sugar Bee} Quinceanera Chocolate Covered Oreos

When I was asked to make sweet treats for a special girl's upcoming quinceanera, I was quite honored to be entrusted to create desserts for such an important day and also very excited because the theme and color scheme were right up my alley! The birthday girl chose an enchanted forest theme with a color scheme of mainly pink and brown. This theme entails a lot of rustic and woodsy elements, but also the beauty of an enchanted forest, such as the flowers and pretty creatures (i.e. butterflies, fairies, deer, etc.). But in addition to the theme and color scheme, they wanted to incorporate a bit of glitz with touches of gold....this is a quinceanera after all!

So after learning of the theme, I knew the look I was going for for the chocolate covered Oreos. I created a variety of sizes and designs that when all put together are fit for a princess. I created standard sized chocolate covered Oreos topped with the number "15" in gold, gold butterflies; and pink, white, and yellow flowers lightly brushed with gold and placed inside a gold fondant decorative frame. I also created mini roses to add dimension to the platter.

I am so excited for the birthday girl to see her treats on her dessert table for her big day!

{Sugar Bee} Gimme Some Sugar Red Velvet Cupcakes

It is Valentine's Day and today should be full of love, hugs, and kisses....and not just for spouses and significant others, but also for those people who bring joy to your life and smiles throughout the day! For me that means my family, kids, friends, and my besties! So in honor of today, I have created some red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting topped with heart and lip chocolate covered Oreos. Now pucker up and "Gimme Some Sugar"!

(Sugar Bee) Hearts & Kisses

I just couldn't help myself....I thought I was done with creating Valentine's goodies, but then I remembered these little hearts and lips and I just had to make them this year. I mean, if hearts and lips don't scream Valentine's Day, then I don't know what does! Especially all done up in pink and red. The best part is that they are minis....little bite size treats that hit the spot!
I have even more plans for these sweet treats....stay tuned for tomorrow for the big reveal!

Who else is busy creating Valentine's or goodies for tomorrow?!

{Sugar Bee} You're So Sweet Valentine's Day Sugar Cookies

Nothing says Valentine's Day than hearts...so this year I wanted to make hearts, but I wanted to add a little something extra in addition to the typical pink heart. So using inspiration from my favorite cookie artist, Sweet Sugarbelle, I created love birds, a puppy dog, and a traditional pink heart. The tags I designed for these cookies really make these cookies the perfect Valentine....the puppy dog cookie tags read, "I Ruff You"; the lovebirds cookie tags read "Be My Tweet Heart"; and the traditional pink heart cookie tags read, "Happy Valentine's Day". I don't know about you, but I heart these cookies so much! Hope everyone who receives them this year does as well!

(Sugar Bee) We Go Together Valentine's Sugar Cookie Collection

I always have a hard time narrowing down what I want to create for the holidays....there are so many different cookies I want to make, but don't have enough time to do them all. So this year for Valentine's Day I made a collection called, "We Go Together". These cookies consist of some favorite combinations, in particular, Milk & Cookies, Coffee & Donuts, and Bacon & Eggs. I just love that these work for a spouse or significant other, but also are perfect for a best friend or child. They are just so cute and are all smiles....just perfect for that special someone who completes you.

{Sugar Bee} I'm Stuck on You Valentine's Sugar Cookies

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I was so excited to make some sugar cookies for this holiday! I have been dying to make some cactus cookies ever since I bought my cookie cutters a couple of months back. So one of the sets I created, I like to call my "I'm Stuck On you" cookies. They consist of two types of cacti....one is a larger saguaro cactus with a mustache and bow tie, the other is a potted cactus with bright red lips and a pink flower on top. These cookies work perfectly as a pair, but also are just as adorable individually. As an added bonus, I designed tags to go along with the cookies. For the couples, their tags read "I'm Stuck On You". For the single ladies, their tags read "Chicks Before Pricks". These cookies will be looking sharp as they are given out this Valentine's Day!

{Sugar Bee} Mint Chocolate Cupcakes

Just a sweet little something for a tasty Tuesday! I just love the combination of mint and chocolate....it is one of my top favorite ice cream flavors and my ultimate favorite Girl Scout Cookie! So of course I love to combine these flavors into cupcakes. Thus I have created mint chocolate cupcakes with a whipped buttercream frosting adorned with a Andes Chocolate Mints. So yummy!

Have a happy tasty Tuesday! Hope it's a sweet one!

{Sugar Bee} Superbowl Cupcakes!

Today is a big day for football fans....however I am not so much a football fan as much as I am a party fanatic. So though I don't really care for football, I do love having another excuse for throwing a party and for creating fun themed goodies! So this year for Super Bowl I (with the help of my baby girl....aka my baking assistant) created vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. The flavors are pretty classic (because my daughter loves vanilla) however, what sets them apart from the typical cupcake is that they are piped with grass-like buttercream frosting and adorned with mini chocolate covered Oreo footballs. I do love a little sparkle, so instead of creating the typical football with brown and white, I decided to use a little gold luster for extra pizazz. These are so festive and I am excited to serve them....I know my kids are ready to dig in!
So no matter who everyone is rooting for, these cupcakes work for fans of both teams. It is a win win in my book! Now on to the half time show (the other reason I look forward to Super Bowl)!
