This past weekend we celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday! Talk about wondering where the time went....it is hard to believe she is already THREE! She has definitely grown since last year in more ways than one as she has developed quite the vocabulary and personality. This year for her birthday she made it very clear that she wanted to have a pink Minnie Mouse party. If you have ever watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, you probably know that Minnie and Daisy have the cutest little boutique called "Minnie's Bowtique". Well I though it only seemed fitting for me to design an "Ava's Bowtique". So without further ado...Welcome to Ava's Bowtique!
To welcome our guests, I created a sign to place on our front door. When they walked in they were greeted with lots of pink, Minnie's, and bows galore! Even the letter "A" on one of the tables had a bow! To continue the bowtique theme, I added a banner above the dessert table that said "Ava's Bowtique".
On the dessert table I created sugar cookies in the form of a number 3, but this time around I dressed them up to look like Minnie. I also dressed the take home bags to look like Minnie Mouse.
I have always loved the look of curling ribbon, not to mention that you can get quite a bit of it for little money. So I thought how fun to just drape the ribbon from the dessert table. I added little Minnie heads as a little extra touch.
Both cupcake toppers and pink chocolate bows adorned the cupcakes along with pretty white edible pearls. I wanted them to just look pretty in pink....and they were super simple which is always a plus when I am having to make a lot of goodies.
In addition to the cupcakes were cake pops made by one of my super nice neighbors, as well as chocolate covered Oreos with pink bows, and Ghirardelli squares covered with coordinating wrappers.
I just love the look of water bottle labels and flags on striped straws. Not only do they look so festive, they are also super easy and inexpensive.
The centerpieces we also very easy as they were just my designs glued onto sticks and doilies. The center was a Minnie Head with an "A" for Ava that was glued onto a doily. I also placed a doily underneath the bucket for an added touch. I love how pretty and girly doilies are, but even better is the price! Next time I may use a whole lot more to decorate with!
Each child that came to the party had a place setting with their name on a place card. At their place setting they found a party hat (Minnie for the girls, Mickey for the boys). They also found a box with a couple party favors inside. The boys received a bow tie and the girls received a bow for their hair....this party was of course a Bowtique so they had to get a bow of some kind!
Along with their box of goodies they found a juice box, bubbles, and a bag full of materials to make an edible bracelet!
Even the pinata and banners had Minnie Mouse on them. We were definitely surrounded by pink Minnie....and the birthday girl loved it all!
We of course had to take a photo with the birthday girl....I loved how she just had to give her mama a big kiss! She was one happy girl!
Pin the bow on Minnie was a fun activity that all the children enjoyed!
But I think because the pinata ended with a large pile of candy, they may have found that game to be their favorite!
Then it was time for Ava to blow out her candle. That was almost as much fun as eating the cupcake!
It is safe to say that she had a wonderful party and everyone enjoyed "Ava's Bowtique"!
